NXTHXN - Full Bio
Born and raised in London, NXTHXN (Nathan Palmer) is an R&B/soul singer and session vocalist who has had the opportunity to collaborate as a backing vocalist for some incredibly successful UK artists, including WizKid, Ghetts, Not3s and many more.
Growing up in a Christian-Caribbean household, music was a large part of his upbringing. From mimicking childhood artists such as Tonéx (B.Slade), Fred Hammond and Dawkins & Dawkins to being exposed to a variety of genres; particularly gospel but also reggae, R&B, soul, rock and pop. He became a music lover from a very young age. In fact, his first stage performance was at the age of 9 and he’s been singing ever since.
At the age of 20, he became the music director for a large church in East London, where he spent 10+ years leading their ‘praise & worship’ and running their music concerts. He also formed a high-octane choir & band of 30+ members who travelled across the UK and Europe to perform. During this time he also became a father and now has two boys who he absolutely adores.
After leaving the church and enduring a gruelling divorce, NXTHXN didn’t perform for a while but then found his heartbeat again when he started singing in London’s music scene at venues like Troy Bar, Ciros Pomodoro and Red Rooster.
From this, he was offered the opportunity to join The Soul Sirens, a vocal group led by ShezAr (The Voice UK) and has featured on platforms such as BBC 1xtra live lounge, Boiler Room, Later with Jools Holland and many more.
Inspired by the likes of Usher, Tank and Musiq Souldchild, NXTHXN has a smooth sound and warm tone. For fans of John Legend, Ne-Yo and Trey Songz; NXTHXN is currently working on his next solo project. As a singer/songwriter, much of his original material is drawn from his personal life experiences and he’s excited to finally share his gift with the world.
